3 Months Down

3 Months Down – First Major Weight Loss Goal!

Well, I’m a few days over due but here’s my monthly “State of the Body Address”

This past month was kinda weird.  I was sick for a little over a week and had to do some events for work that made my back not like me very much.

Weight Loss Stuff:

Heaviest Weight: 380 (circa 2006)
Starting Weight: 316 (July 09)
Day of Surgery: 290

Current Weight:  249!  Wooo hooo!  That meets one of my first major weight loss goals of being under 250!  I haven’t been under 250 since middle school!  I remember going a crazy diet in high school and getting down to 255 but not lower.

Total Weight Loss Since Heaviest:  131

Total Weight Loss Since July:  67

Total Weight Loss Since Surgery: 41 – So 41 lbs in a little over 3 months.

Clothing:  Firmly an 18/20.  I did break down and buy a pair of pants finally.  I was also super happy to discover a box of Tish’s old shorts that all fit!  Yay!  They’re not exactly my style but at this point I’m just happy they’re not fallin’ off my butt!  I’m really ready for winter to be over so that I can get rid of a lot of clothes that are too big…but don’t want to until I know that I won’t be freezin’

Diabetes Update:  I’ve been off all meds for a week now and my blood sugar levels have been perfect!  Will continue to follow up with doc, etc.  But it looks like the meds may be a thing of the past!

Adventuring:  I love the fact that since I’m losing weight and getting healthier that I can once again go back to adventuring J  This month we went to see the Manatee’s at Blue Springs, took a day trip to the Brevard Zoo and went to Gatorland!  http://picasaweb.google.com/crystal.elkins Go there to see pictures. We also made several trips to the farmer’s market and lots of house hunting!

House Hunting:  We put in a bid on 2/4 on a beautiful home.  It’s a short sale so now we’re just waiting but we did find out that its already been assigned to a negotiator so that’s a very good thing!

Doin’ what I’m suppose to?

Water:  had a spell there for a bit where I just wasn’t getting enough in!  Better now

Meds:  Forgot a few times but back on track

Protein:  Yup, pretty much able to get it all from food now!

Exercise:  not doing as much as I should L  Must work on this

Fruits and Veggies:  Veggies:  check  Fruits:  not so much
